PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Nitoband Pipe Penetration Detailing Squares are designedfor providing a high strength elastic seal around pipes andpenetrations for general and specialised waterproofingapplications.Once positioned over pipes, the collars form a water tightrupture proof seal.The enhanced elastic recovery and high tensile strengthproperties of the collars protect the seal against substrate orforce generated movement during the life of the waterproofingsystem.To position the collar in place, the diameter of the pipe is firstmeasured. A circular cut is made in the centre of the collar at60-70% of the pipes diameter, e.g. if the pipe is 100mm diameter,a circular cut of 60-70mm is formed in the centre of the collar.The collar is then slid over the pipe and positioned in place tothe substrate. The surface of the collars consists of a polyester fleece thatis designed to be embedded into Nitoproof water-based liquidmembranes that are used as part of the application.The fleece should be embedded into the liquid membrane oncethe rubber collar is in position, ensuring full adhesion to thesubstrate.
