Galvanised Cup Head Bolts have a dome head with a short square shank under the head for fixing timber to timber or timber to steel. The bolt is inserted into the hole and the nut is tightened to fasten the materials. Cup head bolts are also known as a Carriage Bolt or Coach Bolt. The Galvanised Cup head bolt is often used in timber frames, outdoor furniture, fencing and timber retaining walls. The square under head locks the head into timber preventing the head from spinning when tightened. The hot dipped galvanised coating is suitable for most outdoor applications and use in treated timbers. Washers not included but recommended in most applications.
